Tora-con 2007 AMV Contest - impressions

I'm currently in Tora-con right now in the second showing of the AMV contest. I'll try list out some of the contestants that made it to the contest in order of appearance (excuse me for butchering some of the names).

Drama:

krillin the villian - Death Note + various
Bouncy - Digimon 02
Dr. Raven Productions - Tenjou Tenge
Bouncy - Digimon 02

Action:

Etienne *didn't get the rest of the name* - Cowboy Bebop the Movie
Yousef - King of Fighters OVA
BasheroftheAges - Bleach
Faythene *something* - Naruto
yoko - Bleach
Sarah and Will Sugarman - Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
GeneStarwind02112 - Various

Sports, Romance, Other (yeah they ran out of categories):

Yousef - *didn't catch it*
Dark Side Productions - Ah! My Goddess TV (interesting enough, Pwolf used the anime/song combo for last year's AMValentine Project)
Honou Productions - Cardcaptor Sakura (omg, I LOVE THIS!!!

)
Shinodude - Fighting Spirit

So pretty much the contest made it to the minimum requirement of 15 videos, and Todd should be announcing the winners. Oh and by the way, it seems like the votes are already tallied up during the first showing which I didn't have a chance to vote. Especially since he told me it's possible to vote during the second showing.

Well, at least the action category wasn't lame like last year's though not much variety overall.

According to a friend of mine who went to the first showing, the auditorium where they held the contest was packed. He didn't really tell me how the audience reacted to each of the videos.

most people who showed up didn't know how to react to an AMV contest, but in the end i think they all enjoyed it.

the plan was to vote at both, we ran out of ballots.

Yay! My Digimon amvs made it in the Drama part of the AMV Contest. Even though I didn't win I'm still glad that my videos made it that far
