I need help ripping the fmv's from an FF12 Iso...

Post by sayde » Tue Apr 18, 2006 6:37 pm

As the topic title implies, I need help getting the fmv's from FF12. These files are hidden well within the DVD. So my only chance of actually getting these fmv's was to download a program specifically made to scan and the FF12 dvd and rip the fmv's for me. I got it here...

http://www.project-fao.org/

Now since I don't actually have the FF12 dvd, I had to resort to using a program called Daemons tools in order trick my computer into thinking it had another cd/dvd drive. I mounted the iso into the fake dvd drive and had the ff12 program scan the iso.

Unfortunately, this didn't work too well. Though the program may have thought it was ripping the fmv's, it wasn't. It was simply creating a bunch of m2v files that were 0 bytes in size. Something is obviously wrong.

So I guess my question is, does anyone know how to rip FF12 fmv's from an Iso? Or does anyone have any ideas to expand upon the method I already tried?

Try actually buying the game so the program can do what it was meant to?

You do realize this is still asking how to obtain downloaded footage AND discussing the use of cracks/warez/ect and is thus against the rules, right?

how about no? I'm not importing a game from japan, period.

Secondly, I'm not asking how to "obtain" or download anything. The fmv's are already downloaded/obtained. I just can't rip them from the iso. Discussing how to rip games from an iso is not against the tos. besides, even if I went out and bought the game, I'd have to resort to making an iso of the game anyways since this program is obviously is not working. Go ahead and look at the "how to rip pss" guides on these forums. If the files can't be easilly located within a folder in the game, then the only other method is to create an iso of the game in order to scan the entire game for mpeg streams.

Discussing how to rip fmv's from an iso has got nothing to do w/ "cracks/warez/ect". So if you've got nothing useful to contribute, then please, leave me and my topic alone.
