What's up with the Evanescence thing?

Ok, basically I just uploaded a video with an Evanescence song. I read the forum post saying why it isn't postable, however, this problem with Evanescence and the other bands was in 2001. The weird thing is though, how come within the last year I have been able to download AMVs from this site with Evanescance songs, yet mine is not linkable all of a sudden?

And why isn't there some kind of notice before a person goes through the trouble of uploading an AMV telling them they can't upload AMV's with certain song titles. If they are just going to get unlinked anyways, that would be much more logical to do, especially since you already have a running database of songs from artists.

I think we've had this discussion before .

But some kinda warning page would be nice for those people who don't check the member's main page (which everyone should do on a regular basis, shame on you all!

). But that would mean that everyone else who is not using an Evanescene, Creed, or Seether song has to be bothered with it to upload. Also, I believe the "problem" happened in 2005.

When the link is unlinked, at the spot you would normally click to download the file, there is a link to the thread that relates to this issue, and the thread has postings in 2001.

That is totally the wrong thread anyways.

This is the related thread, and it has postings starting in 2000.

Anyways, other people wouldn't have to be bothered with it when they upload because when you choose the music for your AMV, it would say that song is not available for usage because of this problem.

Also, another one of my questions is, why if this problem existed in 2000, that I have recently, within the past year, downloaded AMV's with the songs in question, because I've only started visiting this site in 2005.

If you'll notice, the thread started in November, 2005 (which is at the top of each post). What you might be looking at is phade's joined date

and here i thought that the HUGE WARNING on the MEMBERS MAIN PAGE was a warning page... I mean its right there on the top (unless you have stars to give) perhaps they should place it above the stars???

I'm glad there's not gonna be anymore Evanescence videos. Now hopefully, the ORG will get an email from WB telling them to take down the Linkin Park videos.

Indeed. How dare I use logic and facts to ruin your fantasies of reporting to the site to WB and miraculously make them only take off the Linkin Ball Z AMVs!
