It was an amusing episode, but I found it ungodly fu***up; thank you GAINAX!

I mean it was beach episode, but it showcased Izumi's true nature as a SM queen (thanks to that blonde foreigner)?!

I guess the producers wanted to give Izumi the dominating power she yearned for the past couple episodes. It can also represent whether it's alright to leave everything in its sitcom comedic fashon and have "fun", or break away from it and gain independence.

Hehehe, enlightment in a comedy series.

You had to expect something like this to happen. I think Izumi likes Yoshitaka but also wants
to get even with him for what he does to her. So you have to have a power struggle so the one
on the bottom can fell like the one on top so the two don't start to hate each other.

I do have to say that it looked like Izumi could handle a whip.

And I think Yoshitaka secretly likes it.
