AnimeVegas Con Anime Music Video Exhibition!

Hi, I wasn't too sure where to post this, as this isn't a contest, but just an Exhibition. I'm with Anime VegasCon being held on September 4th through the 6th, running an AMV Exhibition. Not a contest, just a show of what's out there in the modern Anime Music Video scene. I'm looking to compile 30 minutes to an hour's worth of video. Until I can set up an FTP upload site(Which, at this point, is highly unlikely), email me at taiki at cox dot net with a link to download it, and any information the link may not contain. The deadline is August 20th, 2004, so get those entries in ASAP!

I believe that next year, attendance and overall awareness of the Con may warrant an actual competition, so who knows for next year?

Or just reply here. I'll announce the final tracklist the week before the con. I doubt anyone's interested in who's going to be chosen at the end though.

I hope this con does well this year. I could always use an additional excuse to go to Vegas next year. 8)

What other excuse do you need? Come down this year for the con. XD

As far as the entries so far, they're looking pretty good. I'm surprised I've gotten this much response given the little time I have.

I've also decided to split the exhibition up to categories. Amateur, SemiAmateur, Semi Pro, and Pro. I hope it's self explanatory. Also, can anyone with access to the AMV e-Group post this information on it? I"ve applied for membership quite a while back and I haven't heard back from them...

I'd really hate to bump dead threads(I'm a moderator on another board, it pisses me off to no end when someone does it, then again threads there are typically dead for months, if not years), but i'd like to remind everyone that the deadline is the 20th. If I do not recieve sufficient entries by the 15th, I'll just randomly pull entries off of of a-m-v.org. I will contact anyone who's work I wish to use, however, just to clear my use of thier work.
