Does anyone know how you would go about making an AMV that has 5.1 compatable sound?
I have BeSweet, so don't tell me to get that. Besides, BeSweet can't really DO anything (ie: editing).
what I would like to be able to do is take a song and remix it so it will be 5.1 compatable, or at the very least have controld output through center, left, right, rear right, and rear left channels.
Any ideas? And please, only reply if you actually know what you are talking about. Non of this "well what might work is...", or "try..."
I want to know if there is anything out there that will let me do this, ie: edit with 5 channels and possibly a sub channel.

I presume you mean taking a stereo track and converting it to 5.1.
There is a pretty good way of doig it actually, as detailed in this guide. It's not very easy but I hear it gives good results but I cant even get the Cool Edit demo to work on my machine so I cant comment on presonal experience.

There is no benefit in doing this for a con submission but it's good for DVDs and maybe even 5.1 channel ogg audio in amvs online

Yeah, DVD's and at home are what I had in mind for this. Also it would be something cool to know incase anyone ever has a contest that supports it.AbsoluteDestiny wrote:I presume you mean taking a stereo track and converting it to 5.1.

there is no real easy solution to edit it in realtime.
Premier isn't equipped to handle that kind of sound processing.
The best you can do without spending SEVERAL THOUSAND dollars is to use that proggie to export each discreet channel as its own wave, then use 6 audio tracks in premier to edit with, then put the original ac-3,dts stream back in when you MUX.
