Well...I just closed up my club's store with 'em.
Oh well...cheaper making up shirts with a local company...but cafepress was kinda handy if you just wanted ONE shirt made up.

Your rights to ownership aren't under threat - the website has it wrong.

They are refering to the ownership of Cafepress.com services, not your rights. The only thing they ask is that you are allowing them to do what you are asking them to do - ie making clothes with your copyrighted stuff. They are not saying "by using cafepress your stuff is now ours" at all.

However, the $25 fines looks nasty.

TAKE YOUR ITEMS DOWN NOW BEFORE THIS GOES INTO EFFECT OR YOU CAN LOSE LEGAL RIGHTS TO YOUR IMAGES. " must have confused the hell out of me then.

yea... that's the person writing the page being an over zelous prick...

if you read the legal stuff it says that cafe press is allowed to use the logos and artowkr you upload... for the purpose of "in connection with your use of the CafePress.com Service"

in otherwords they are allowed to use your images to help promote the fact you are using it... but

"If you or CafePress.com terminate your account, CafePress.com will cease its use of the Party Marks within 90 days of the termination."

they stop using it 90 days after you leave

so i thinkt he person who wrote the page was an ass hole

Personally it's the $25 thing that worries me as well. Went to the site and they were asking for my tax id. No way was I going to give it to them. Then I haven't ever sold anything, so it really doesn't matter.
