Commercial Ghost in the Shell AMVs
Link 1
Link 2 - Special Edition version
I saw this in Best Buy this past week. I probably would have picked it up but it was 30 dollars... ($30/6 videos = $5 per video. Too much without knowing more about it, imho.)
Has anyone seen these? If so, perhaps you could shed some more details. Would you recommend this to others.
[Corran: Changed links to Best Buy as the other site had a link to an HK section. Also I just realized that there are 7 music videos, not 6.]

Nope, it's legit.
http://www.dvdplanet.com/product_listin ... format=DVD
I saw it at Borders last night and thought the same: too much ($25) for too little (42 minutes). And that was the regular, not-special edition. DVDPlanet's price is more likely.
Kenji Kawai is one of the top anime soundtrack composers (Vampire Miyu, Ranma, Patlabor movies, Avalon). This list only goes through 1998, but hits some well-known titles.

well that is, if you made the music and stuff... I'm not opposed to giving away my videos lol.Coffee 54 wrote:Nice to know the retail value of all that work works out to under a buck a minute. However that's per individual viewing it, so actually it is quite a bit. You guy with 1,000+ downloads would be rolling in the green.

If i'm not mistaken, that stuff that they did with the movie is the same stuff I was talking about in this thread, Soundtrack Reinterpretation! I'd check this out, but I dont think i'll be spending $30 for the DVD.[/url]

I wouldn't get too mad about it, I've had the idea of putting effects into AMVs for ages however I've only recently been able to implament it. If I'm reading this right, it's not rocket science I doubt they stole it from you specifically... silent movies and many amvs just get boring without a little audio effect lovin'. Honestly it blows my mind that NOBODY ever does this.SOAD2k8 wrote:![]()
