2008 Judge's Choice Awards - Final Round Info / Voting Stats

Post by Koopiskeva » Mon Feb 04, 2008 9:54 pm

This post is part of an ongoing contest designed to complement the current 2008 Viewer's Choice Awards. This contest is independently sponsored and is in no way affiliated with the actual AnimeMusicVideos.org VCAs aside from it coinciding with the VCAs and using its categories and semi-finalists.

Welcome to the final round of the 2008 Judge's Choice Awards. Please visit the link for more information. This will run from 2/4 through 2/25.

In this round, audience participation is not necessary. Only the judges will be needed for this round.

A message to all nominees and participants:

Though I sent this with the private message was all the nominees. I just want to re-iterate. If you have not received a PM from me by now, then it means that you have not won the election to be a judge on the 2008 JCA. As per our agreement with both the nominees and the elected judges, you must not tell anyone whether you won the election or not. At the end of the JCAs, the elected judges will decide themselves whether or not they want to reveal their identities on the winners thread.

As you may notice, the fourth round (video nominations) has been cancelled. I have given the elected judge's the power to nominate 2 videos total in any category of their choosing to add the current list of contest entries (the VCA semi-finalists).

Winners will be posted (hopefully) by the 25th of February to coincide with the VCA winner announcements.

A few voting stats:

112 - total number of votes were made
4 - amount of different countries that the elected judges come from
12 - largest amount of votes for a single judge
30 - nominees that did not receive any votes
1 - nominee that voted for themself
0 - bribes to me to change the votes (though I'm still open for the video winners >_> )

Congrats to all elected judges and thank you to everyone for participating this year! Please be on the lookout for when the winners are announced! O:
