From the director Akiyuki Shinbo who brought over the gothic goodness of the Soul Taker and Petite Cossette, and animation by SHAFT who did GAINAX's Mahoromatic and Konomini.
I have to say, the animation is really good and definetely smooth; it accompanied very well with the gothic backgrounds, images, and music. The music is pretty mysterious and haunting in which it has the same caliber to the music to Petite Cossette. Of course, the only thing that threw me off is the opening song "Neko Mini Mode" which is UNGODLY cute since it shows many images of Hazuki wearing cat ears. Since it's only the first episode out, I can't say too much about the plot because I was distracted to Hazuki's utter cutieness.
