SCORING GUIDELINES

These guidelines are for you to follow so that there is a consistency with each of the scores you give and the intent of the meaning of the score.

 Originality

This is basically how original the video is. If the video has been done before with the same or similar music and anime, the score should be lower. If the video is an original idea or uses music and anime in a way you weren't expecting, the score should be higher.

Capture/Output Quality  This one is an easy concept. You should consider the source and the output quality together. If the video you are watching looks clean and fresh, score high. If it is hard to look at, score low. You should NOT judge the anime itself, just if it looks clear.
Sound Quality  Another easy concept. If it sounds clear, then score high. If it sounds bad, score low. You should NOT judge the music itself, just if it has a clear sound.
Action Sync  This is how well the music went with the action of the video. If the action matches up well with the music, score high. If it looks like the two are unrelated or off, score low.
Lip Sync  If you can tell the creator intended the mouth movements to match with the music and they succeeded, score high. If they intended the movements to match and it just doesn't work, score low. If the mouth movements were not intended to match, score "n/a".
Digital Effects  This is how well the digital effects (if any) are USED, not the amount used or how elaborate they were. Score high if the effects are well placed and executed. Score low if the digital effects were detracting or cheesy. If there are no effects used, score "n/a".
Effort  If you can tell they put a bunch of time and thought into the video, score higher. If it looks like the video was thrown together, score lower.
Overall  This is your overall impact from the video. Was it was meant to be funny, artistic, moving, scary, action-packed, or whatever? Taking into account all your feelings about the video, score the video either higher or lower.
Re-viewable This is how likely you are to watch the video again. The scores, especially top scores, should reflect your opinion of the video when you FIRST saw the video in addition to now. (This is so that "classic" videos are judged equally with the videos that have just appeared on the scene.) If you watched the video over and over and over again when you first got it, score higher. If not, score lower. If you created the video, guess about the likelyhood of your test audience.
