• Comments: Yup, another S.cry.ED vid, but this one's a bit of a departure from my first effort in that it's a flat-out comedy vid...or at least it's supposed to be... I'm never sure how my warped sense of humor translates to anyone else... Anyway, the song is taken from my favorite Bugs Bunny cartoon of all time, "Hillybilly Hare". I was able to find the uncensored version with all the original violent lyrics (yay!) intact, but I could find no information as to who actually wrote it, or what the real title is, so it is simply entered on the end credits as being from that episode.
  
  This is my first real attempt at deliberately lip synching, and for the most part it seemed to work okay...although I doubt that it will ever be my strong point. A couple of scenes ended up looking like they were synched when I didn't intend for them to be - such as the section at 0:30 "Alleman left", and another bit at 0:49 - "Step right up"...For some reason, Kazuma just insisted on synching to a lot of lyrics that he wasn't supposed to. As far as the action synch went, the most trouble I had was with getting the action to synch with the sound effects from the soundtrack - most of the time I was able to do it, but in a couple of places - most notably at the "Whomp your partner" section beginning around 1:32 - I wasn't quite able to manage it, and there are a couple of places where there are some sound effects with nothing synched to them. *sigh*
  
  One of my favorite parts of the vid is right at the "Promenade across the floor" at 0:38, right when the vocals change to Bugs Bunny's voice; that clip just synched so well to the music without my having to do anything special to it. Despite the problems with the sound effects, I was also pretty pleased with the above mentioned "Whomp your partner" sequence.
  
  No real digital effects in this one - I'm still staying away from those for the most part. I didn't even use layering in this one, just a lot of straight cuts and a couple of cross fades. The only thing that could count as an effect was the split screen at the very end - but as that was pretty simple to do and was the only effect I used, I didn't really think it was worth rating. The only other thing special I did to the footage was to tweak the color saturation a little in order to make the colors a bit more vibrant, giving the footage a more 'cartoony' look.
  
  I think I will always be a yutz when it comes to compression, but at least I was able to get this one well under 100 MB, so I was ecstatic...although I still don't know why my sound files are coming out so huge... >.<
