• Comments: I worked on this video for most of the summer, and I ended up spending many hours on it. It's a part-action, part-drama Battle Athletes video about the main character, Akari, and how her two best friends always encouraged her and helped her to win. The first part of the video is about Akari and her friend Icchan, and then the next part is about Akari and Kris. *There are spoilers in this video.
  
  When I watched the first few episodes of Battle Athletes, I was slightly disappointed; I was expecting more of a drama after seeing Kevin Caldwell's "Believe". But after watching the fifth episode and the episodes after that, I saw that the series was, in fact, very dramatic. I thought there were too small of a number of good Battle Athletes drama videos, so I decided to make one. This song (and artist) is rather overused, but I really like it and I thought it was pretty good video material, plus I thought it suited this anime really well, so why not?
  
  For effects, I went pretty blur-happy in this video. I did a lot of gaussian/motion blurs, and quite a few radial blurs too. Another thing I used a lot was brightness/contrast settings, and the odd black and white settings. I did some frame-by-frame work too, mostly to make some feathers and sometimes to make the lip-syncing more accurate or more natural-looking.
  
  I think this is one of my favourite AMVs that I made. Technically, it's probably one of my best-synced videos, and it still has that dramatic side to it that I like so much in videos. :)
