• Comments: My first music video, slaved over this thing. I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do for a while but just couldn't get myself to do it until recently. This does contain spoilers, major ones. I could have gone a bit further into the series but I haven't gotten to see the most recent episodes. Anyway, as to what I was trying to do with this video, the song itself just made me think of Edward. I mean he saw some horrific things at such a young age and I just can't help but feel like over time he'll become more and more jaded.
  
  The only part in the video that really wasn't from Edward's point of view was the Hughes section, but I felt it was necessary considering Hughes was important to him. I was trying to show Ed's experiences, positive and negative. The song "Seen it all" was performed by Bjork and used in the movie Selmasongs, in the movie Bjork plays a woman who's going blind and is sacrificing so much to save her son's site. She really doesn't care what happens to herself, she's doing it all for the sake of her son. I just felt Ed could relate to that, he goes all out for his brother and for the sake of other people, he would rather die than see his brother harmed.
  
  Probably the most challenging part of this video was trying not to take the lyrics too literally. I feel in a lot of cases I managed to match up an idea of what the lyrics were saying, most the time anyways. In some areas I felt the tone or mood of the song was better expressed through the footage I used over a literal interpretation of what's being said. If that makes any sense. I'm pretty satisfied with the results, I'm planning on remastering the video when Funimation's DVDs of the series come out, hopefully by then I'll have more experience under my belt and I can force myself to learn After Effects.
  
  I know, downloaded footage, but believe you me, I work at Suncoast and fully intend on purchasing the official DVDs as they come out, my employee discount helps support my habit. PLEASE support the anime industry as well!
