  • Comments: The second video by Artificial Suns, and the first one I did alone. Made on a Pentium 133 with Ulead Media Studio 5.0
and a Hauppage capture card. Easily the darkest of the videos I've ever made, and created specifically to head off anyone
who might make the assumption that AS would only be making silly comedy videos. Avoid this one if you are easily offended
by harsh language or themes, as the song is one of the most nihilistic ever sung by Tool. The clip at the very beginning is
from the Oscar-award winning film "Blue Velvet" that has, nonetheless, dissappeared from the public eye due to its harsh,
and thoroughly weird, nature. The final clip is from the end of "Darkside Blues" and was chosen just because it was damn
creepy. I've recently found out that this music video is something of an underground favorite with several people, despite many
technical flaws, over-use of transitions, and dark subject matter. It even convinced at least one person who had never
heard of Tool before to go out and buy their CD. It's fun corrupting the minds of innocents...

This video took me FOREVER to assemble, even by my standards. Nearly a month worth of time was completely lost when I
discovered that about half of the clips had accidentally been captured in 8-bit color. Had to completely re-do every fuzzy clip and
lost some of the better timed incidents out of frustration.
