• Comments: The idea behind Shin Hatsubai video #31 was another one that hung around for a while without a sure fix on video source. It was going to be to Nadia for like three weeks, and to Trigun for the week before that, but when I found the FY OAVs subbed, there was no question. The only problem was sitting down and capturing and clipping through the 10 (eight normal, and the last one with Last OAV Disease) episodes involved, and then of course coordinating source to nearly 9 minutes of music. Getting over this psychological barrier took me almost 5 months. At the time of its production in January 2002, this may have been the very longest single AMV to date. Though it mostly encapsulates all of the 9 Fushigi Yuugi OAVs put out to date, there are remarkably few spoilers.
  
  Since most cons won't accept stuff over 6 minutes, there is very little reason for most people to make AMVs longer than that. With online distro the file sizes get very large as well after a point, so nobody wants to download a 9 minute video like this one. Despite everything being against it, I think this turned out as an OK video, with one of the better senses of 'story' that I'd been able to do to date.
  
  
  Shin Hats Self-Grade: B+. Overall, the 'story' is there, but there are a bunch of places where the editing could have been a little tighter.
