- Title: Gravity of Love - Remastered

- Enigma Gravity of Love
Well, it's been a long time coming, but here it is. Nearly 2 years after I originally released the first FF8 - Gravity of Love video, I've now produced the version that I WANTED to make way back when.
The concept for this video hit me like a ton of bricks the first time I heard Gravity of Love. I had just finished FF8 so the story/game was still fresh in my mind. Anyways, as the song played, and I could TOTALLY see the video playing out in my head. And because I'm not a persocon and can't just record my thoughts to video (see: Chobits), I decided to try my hand at making it myself. At the time I had seen VERY few AMVs, so it was pretty much all new territory. I ended up using all downloaded clips the first time through, and had to teach myself Premiere as I went. And honestly, for a first time video, it really wasn't that bad. But it was always just lacking in many ways. Alot of clips just were not the right ones. There were many points when things just simply could've looked better. But probably the biggest problem was the video quality which always suffered due to my poor editting skills.
Well, almost 2 years later I've decided to go back to drawing board and remake the video from scratch. This time around I used ALL Huffyuv lossless video, so the quality is outstanding.
Some of the scenes in the video I elected to make no changes to. There's namely 3 scenes in the video where I used just the source FF8 footage for about 15-30 seconds straight (meaning, no cuts at all). I got alot of criticism for doing this the first time around. People just figured I was being lazy and just didn't want to put any work into it. Well as I said, I chose those clips and placed them specifically and DIDN'T edit them because they worked alone absolutely perfectly. Had I changed them up just for the sake of being a "badass editor" it would've made the video suffer and taken away from the story. So if you still have a problem with it, well, good for you.
The final rendered version looks absolutely flawless. However, for the past 2 days I've been doing nothing but encoding/re-encoding the video to MPEG/DivX trying to find the best possible format to distro the video. In the end I elected to just go with a 1150kbps VCD MPEG-1. It's not huge, but at the same time, the video quality does suffer somewhat. It still looks ALOT better than the original Gravity of Love video, but still, I'm not 100% happy with the MPEG encode.
Anyways, I sincerely hope that you take the time to review this, especially if you've seen the old video, and also if you've never seen it, so you can also experience what many have called my best video ever. Opinions are quite appreciated. :)
