  • Comments: My second AMV, and I decided to use the rather popular shoujo series D.N. Angel. In way, this video is quite a simple story. It's a beginning of a new morning where Daisuke rushes to the train station. Along the way, he imagines a perfect way to confess his love towards his one and only, Risa Harada.

This entire video was almost experimental on a couple aspects. First aspect was this video was mostly text-based told in a monolouge and dialouge way. Second was the instrumental music I chose; it's purpose is to set the scenes at a certain atmospheric mood. Third was using that Sketch AVISynth function Corran made (which can be located in AMVWiki) for that "perfect day" sequence Daisuke's was imagining.

Technical issues (may contain video spoilers)
Few issues I need to point out. First, Windows Movie Maker doesn't seem support vertical alignments for text. So in order to me to shift some of the text upward or downward, I had to insert couple blank lines and then enter some sort of text. For example if you see a text in the top vertical alignment, you'll see some sort of text (such as periods or squiggly lines) at the bottom. If that bothers you, then I apologize; I used these marks specifically to maintain the flow of the text transition.

Second was encoding this video was really more troublesome than my last video. I'm not going to get into detail about the ordeal, but there's one part of the video that should pointed. Before the scene of that D.N. Angel eyecatcher there was supposed to be a few seconds of black space. Unfortunetely, when I created my huffyuv file using EO Video, the black space got removed, and it result in the first frame of the eyecatcher being "frozen" until the music started playing.

Well, that's it. Hope you enjoy it!
