- Title: Visions-Dragonball Anthology
- Premiered: 2002-05-11
- Metallica Call Of Ktulu
This is my first and last dbz music video, my first anime serie.
It is made from hours of db and dbz footage + 7 movies used for the intro and outro.
This is the result of a two month work in which I've put all myself. The mv is quite long, so I've decided to use a 2:1 hq pixel reduction in order to make the download easier(on some ftp's you may find the "Deluxe" version, which is 122 mb)
Technical details: Adobe Premiere 6.0, Nandub 1.02 rc, Cooledit 2000.
About digital effects: this is the part I was most concerned about, cause I've sperimented many new effects ( I think I've used half of them, including the "lens distorsion", which becomes part of the story during Goku's transformation into SS- you may not understand/notice it), though I've tried to keep a constant syncro throughout the video (those who have seen it have praised me for that).
About the story: it mainly focuses on both db and dbz (whole serie). The idea is the vision of dragonball seen through the eyes of Bardack. A part from that, also other dbz characters have their own visions (the whole Namek scene is in fact a Goku vision, and so Gohan before becoming SS2), till the end...when the main vision takes place...but it's easier if you directly see it.
Music: as usual I've made an intro trying lip sync ( I' ve made some attempts before, but nothing special..)with Marylin Manson's "Sweet Dreams". The main theme is Metallica's best song ever, the instrumental "Call Of Ktulu", which (not only my opinion) fits perfectly. The outro is made from Clawfingers' "Don't wake me up" : as you see also the song something in common with the word "vision".
I could be speaking about this video for hours...so if you are interested in knowing something more about this work contact me :
