It occured to me that I had not made a video all year! That's totally unlike me. I admit I have been busy managing J&P Productions and Sakura Zuka. I also admit to working a lot more hours because I am bucking for a promotion at work. I also admit to working a lot on the non-amv projects that J&P Productions plans to introduce hopefully sometime this year. However, yeah....no videos from J. I've served as producer of several. I've helped my staff with production on theirs but none from me.
Six months into the new year and no video?
That had to change. Over the last year I'd say from 2004 to 2005, I finally saw all of Evangelion including the two movies. Don't get me wrong. I've seen parts of the series. I watched End of Evangelion first before even seeing the series when I made Times Up. However after having watched the entire series and the two movies I definately agree it is one of the finest animes of all time.
It also compelled me to write a fanfiction so from June 2004 to May 2005 I did that. I recently completed about two months ago and published to www.fanfiction.net I created After Impact my take on the sequel to the world of Evangelion once Third Impact occured.
Since my head was in Evangelion, I felt it was only right to do an Evangelion video. The name of the video is called Where Do We Go? Its self explanatory. Third Impact. Shinji & Asuka left alone in the world....now what? The video explores the emotional impact of this realization and deals with both Shinji & Asuka's uncertain feelings towards each other and being left alone.
The song Where Do We Go by Filter is one of my favorites and I felt served this video perfectly. I hope you enjoy it.
Two things I did here in this video was experiment with a lot of color and light transitions. Not effects that are overly blinding mind you, more or less subtle to make the point stand out. I also added my own subs to dramatize the effect more.
In some areas of the video you may think the aspect ratio and quality is off, this is being done on purpose mind you. So if I hear complaints about the quality, realize that its all apart of the generalized effect.
Anyway thats the video synopsis in a nut shell.
Hope you enjoy
See ya on the next vid.
