You know, I could write about how this video was a bastard creation, seeing as how I wanted to take this spring break to make my awesome Air masterpiece, but I was too lazy to make it and decided to make this short as practice because I was feeling inspired after watching the first two episodes of Elemental Gerad. However, I won't write about that, because I just did, and there's nothing more to elaborate on.

It seems shorts are all I can do anymore. Oh well. One of these days, I'll get a longer video out, and I promise it'll kick ass.

Anyways, this is a short little romance video, patched together with the first episodes of Elemental Gerad. I was surprised at how much I was able to piece together with only two episodes to work with, and ironically enough, this is my best romance video to date. I don't really know how the hell that works out.

Since it was requested by several people (one person?) who left opinions, a little bit of background on the series (though there's not much needed as only two episodes of this series were out when I edited it): In the world of Elemental Gerad, there are girls called "Edil Raids". Basically, they're girls with special gemstones in them that allow them to become weapons when they "fuse" with their Preja (the guy with whom they sign a contract to do the weapons-stuff, used at 1:07 - 1:26). The blue-haired girl, Ren, is not just an Edil Raid, but one of the most powerful ones in the world. Coud, the spiky blond-haired guy, is basically a gofer for a band of air pirates, and he accidentally uncovers Ren as one of the spoils of a particularly good raid (the uncovering scene is in 0:10 - 0:12, the raid is 0:47 - 0:50). When Ren wakes up, she's cold and distant towards Coud (used in 0:26 - 0:29) because apparently everyone treats her like a weapon and ignores her feelings. Later, more pirates try to steal Ren from Coud's pirates because Ren is just that sweet, and as a result, she falls out of a plane and Coud saves her (That would be the entire sequence from 0:40 - 1:06, minus the previously mentioned raid). Later, as Coud's getting his ass kicked by the other pirates, Ren lends her his strength and allows him to be her Preja (0:16 - 0:30, though it's out of order there). That pretty much covers the bulk of the video; the one scene where Ren pours water on Coud's arm and talks is a little after that, when Coud's pirate get wrecked from being attacked, and Ren repays Coud for saving her life. The rest of their relationship so far in the show mainly consists of Coud being really shy and bashful every time Ren is mentioned, and confusion from Ren.

I don't really have much else to say. The visual quality isn't perfect, but I'm working on it. I've seen AVS filters work miracles before, and I'm trying to make them work miracles under my hands. They're resisting, but enough time spent beating them around will produce results, right?

Oh, and a copy of the translated lyrics, courtesy of Chudah's Corner (www.chudahs-corner.com):

No matter what time it is
    You'll never be alone

    At the moment the pain
That I embraced overflows and spills
A bundle of gentleness will start running for the eye of the storm
Promise me that you will return to here
No matter how endlessly far away you go

No matter what time it is
    You'll never be alone
Our clasped hands will not separate
The bonds of that day in which I believe
Strong feelings will continue to search for the same dream

I shot to lyric synch as best as I could, but considering that Japanese grammar is compeltely different from English, I probably ended up synching to the wrong parts of the lines. Oh well, is anyone actually going to notice?

Also, if you can't figure out how to play the video, you can view the video on YouTube here.
