  • Comments: Well it's gonna be a good long while until I get the rest of the CCS DVDs so I can't really finish my other projects...so, I made this.

It's nothing super incredible, just something I'd been playing with in my head and threw together in a few days. It was my first time trying to do audio edits in an AMV, the results turned out...~okay~. At some point I want to redo the first section and use the full song instead of just parts I chopped out of it here and there. Mainly cause as it stands right now, unless you're familiar with Angelic Layer, you might be somewhat confused about what's goin on in the video. If I use the whole song though I should be able to include enough clips to explain the situation a little better for those unfamiliar with the series...not sure when I'll get around to doing that.

And yeah, just to warn you it's not perfect, I wasn't striving for perfection, so if you see one or two little things that you think are "off", don't waste your time in mentioning it, I know my art better than anyone else possibly could and I know full well what can be improved.

Also, remember, downloading and not leaving an opinion makes the angels cry...don't make the angels cry!

So anyway, if you've watched the video and you're confused, or think you might be, here's a brief synopsis (warning spoilers):

    Basic plot:

A girls mom leaves her when she's very little because of a severe
debilitating disease which destroys the nerves ultimately rendering
her unable to walk. The little girl, Misaki, is told that her mom is
really busy and is going off to work (rather than explain the disease
to her). While in the hospital her mom meets up with a man doing
research on artificial nervous systems. Which so far only works on
very small moving prototypes, so they build these little dolls and
practice with them in order to collect the data needed for a full size
applications (like a leg, arm, etc). But then their research funding
gets cut because the people dolin out the money don't believe it
will work. So they then make a game out of the system called
"Angelic Layer" to not only fund the research but also gain valuable
data to be used on practical applications (measuring/monitoring
    brain waves that sorta thing).

So anyway, flash forward about 10 years, the little girl Misaki is now
15, moves from her grandparents place to her mom's sisters in Tokyo
(still under the notion that her mom is just off doing really
important work somewhere...which is partially true). Her mom doesn't
want her to have to see her disabled and wants to wait until they're
able to make it so she can walk again. That might sound kinda odd...
you really have to watch the series to fully understand the situation.

Misaki then discovers Angelic Layer, gets/makes her Angel, "Hikaru"
and the story from there is basically about her life in a new city,
making new friends, rivals, getting into Angelic Layer, finding she's
a natural Deus (that's what they call those who control the Angels)
and participating in tournaments and such until she gets into the
nationals where she will eventually face her mother...who she doesn't
even know is one of the brains behind Angelic Layer and also one of
the best players (although she plays mostly to help further the research).
There's a LOT of other stuff that goes on though, especially character
wise, over coming preconceptions, finding their strengths, dealing
with every day real life stuff, that sorta thing.
