- Comments: Well, my Rei music video, which just about rounds out all the character music videos I'll do unless really truly inspired. Ever since I heard this song I knew it was Rei. Rei tries so hard to make those around her believe that she's perfect: that she has no weaknesses, that she's all strength, that she can handle anything at all. But she knows she isn't perfect, as seen quite a few times throughout the show. She can't handle *everything* and she knows it. It's when she breaks down finally, after going through so much, that she admits it briefly. Her arrogant and assuring attitude is almost like her one defence because of all she's been through, not only as a Senshi, but in her life. She lives with her grandfather at a shrine after her mother died when she was little and her father just about abandoned her. That's a difficult thing to live with and I also thing partly, whether she knows it or not, that part of her determination to succeed in whatever she does, to be perfect, is also to show her father just what he lost. But either way, that's what this music video is. It shows her two different faces: those of the perfect and those of the flaws when she admits, either verbally or nonverbally, that she isn't perfect; when she breaks down and cries for one reason or another.
