Alright, I'll be straight forward. This video was made in something of a small time frame. I was bored as hell one night, and I had just finished encoding 16 episodes of RahXephon. I wanted to use them for something as kind of just a spare project.
I opened up Vegas and chose a random song. The strange part was, though, that the song and RahXephon matched extremely well. I started editing, and I fell in love with what I was doing. What had originally been a small time killer project progressed into what could be called my best project yet. I dunno whether that's amazing or just plain sad.
I do enjoy watching the video, and I DID do some polishing work on it. I also wanted to take a different route this time. Here, I had the best footage I'd ever encoded, and I wanted to do something to at least kind of make it stand out. So, I encoded the video to 720 x 540 framesize.
The namming of the video was kind of random. When I first thought it through, I was going to name it "Generic RahXephon Action Video Experiment" or "GRAVE" for short. Then, after actually finishing the video, it didn't feel generic at all. So, I changed the name to RAVE (same meaning without the generic). However, I started feeling that calling it an experiment wasn't doing it justice, so its name became simply RAVE without any connotation as to what it is.
I kinda told a story without meaning to. An odd situation, to say the least. I didn't use any effects on this one, just sheer editing. This might make the video more enjoyable for those who disliked my FullMetal Doubt video.
I liked making this video, and I hope you enjoy watching it half as much as I do. I don't do this for fame, I do it for myself, because it's fun.
There were some kinks that I worked out in the final version, so it didn't feel like a rushed video (whicht it wasn't, in all honesty). Enjoy.
