- Kiss of the Dragon Trailer Audio
THE VIDEO IS BACK UP FOR AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF TIME. IT MAY GO DOWN AT ANY TIME! So meh.
Ok its an anime trailer. An anime trailer made by me so you know it's gonna be good, that is if you liked my other trailers. The idea came to me in September, after the completion of Heero Must Die, it was a random idea. At that time I had never seen an episode of Cowboy Bebop or seen the movie Kiss of The Dragon. Mostly the info about the show came to me through vids on amv.org. Luckily for me, my friend NME had the whole series on DVD so that covered the footage part. Now I needed the trailer audio. I could have went with the whole sound recording the real trailer but the anime trailer would be nothing without the text from the real trailer and I couldnt make the text so I decided to wait for the DVD release of the movie. With 5 months of waiting I decided to get prepared by watching the trailer multiple times to understand the feel of it,to see where does the transition begins or ends and where a white flash is because its not a trailer without a white flash.
Who would be who:
Spike would be Jet Li(easy choice) and Vicious would be the British guy. Originally I wanted Faye to be the Bridget Fonda but after watching the trailer(too many damned times to keep count) I realized that Julia would be a better choice because then the trailer could tell the whole Spike and Vicious story (sorta). Don't worry you Faye fans, she still in it but a small role.
I found that the best way to make a anime trailer is to mirror the real one as much as possible. So for this trailer, I had to watch the whole series again looking for a couple of specific scenes. The main one I was looking for was Spike turning around and looking at the camera because Jet Li did that alot in real trailer. I couldn't mirror some scene because either Spike never does what Jet Li does or too difficult to copy.
Again I used Adobe Premiere and VirtualDub. Kung-fu and Cowboy Bebop fans will like this trailer.
Was this video worth a 5 month wait? Well yes, I would do the video again but I would not wait for the DVD again.
