Something funny about this video. I originally entered it into the AX 1998 AMV contest, it didn't make it to the final. I only had one video ready for the 1999 contest, so I decided to re-enter it into the AX 1999 contest. I'm nothing if not persistant. Unfortunatly, while I had designated the video as ment for the Drama catagory, it was included in Action. It got a decent reception, but nothing special.
As I've mentioned in the comments about some of my other videos, sometimes my choice of music/anime combos doesn't appeal to most viewers.
In this video I attempted to repeat my approach with the Unforgiven video, focusing on what I feel is the undercurrent of Ghost in the Shell, the question of Body/Mind/Identity with a song that I feel talks about identity and the difficulty in finding the true self.
However, I don't think this this came across in the video. Either I did a poor job with the editing, or the song was to obscure to deliver the message.
Still, I like this video, if you like it, please let me know. :)
