- Korn Right Now
Composition: Video Clips & Music
Spoilers: Escaflowne Dilandau spoilers... (no shock :P)
WARNING: This video contains excessive lyrical content and may give you epilepsy. :P
If you don't want to watch a flashy action video, don't download this.
"If you didn't include the effects, this would be just another video, one of the ones that fluxmeister puts out every three weeks or so..." AdamandJack (Euphoria review)
...ah so true. :P
Video content notes:
1 - A month or two ago I watched the show Heat Guy J for the first time. I was surprised
how much Claire (Vampire) seemed to remind me of... well my favorite anime character.
While I shouldn't have been surprised at all considering the writers/animation team etc
probably didn't really differ all that much from Esca...
2 - I really wanted to show the connections and sequences that cross between the shows and the Escaflowne movie. Various scenes such as the needles and both childhood flashbacks seemed to be eerily familiar... Even some of the drawing styles from the Escaflowne show match up with Heat Guy J.
3 - As for content... I think it's pretty simple. This is an action video at its heart. I
wanted to use the lyrics and sound to create kind of a psycho experience. This is nothing
new to me. :P
4 - The video is almost like a competition between all the different "archetypes of anger"
(dilandau vs. dilandau vs. claire). I am quite sure that tv show dilandau wins. :P
5 - What would a korn video with dilandau be... without at least a little lip sync. :P
6 - This is the first time I have ever used multiple anime in one video (well crossing over
one another in the same section).
7 - This is my 50th video! =) (this also explains intro :P)
1 - 24 fps -> 23.976 Not to hard now that I know what I am doing.
2 - I opted to not rainbow filter this one... especially as I would have been messing around with footage that didn't need to be filtered. There really aren't many scenes where the rainbow is ultra obvious.
3 - Escalowne tv -> widescreen was pretty easy... nothing really kept me from just centering on the most important aspect of the scene.
... if I think of anything else I will add it ...
Enjoy the Video! =)
