The video I SHOULD have submitted to Otakon. When Worlds Collide was the first video I did using DVD footage and I'm very pleased with the results. Editing was a lot easier with the whole movie already on my hard drive because I could fill in dead space with scenes that I didn't have to think about. Just scroll through until I found something that worked.
But don't let that fool you, When Worlds Collide is one hell of a detailed video. My longest endeavor yet, 380 hours, and I feel that none of it was wasted. From the very beginning I tried to make a video that was tight, and interesting.
Like This Isn't What We Meant, When Worlds Collide is loaded with digital effects, including the trademark VicBond007 lens flares ;-) I originally wanted to debut this at Nekocon, but it was too far of a trip for me to take so instead it will make it's premiere at Katsucon8. I just have a thing against submitting videos and not being there. I care about the exposure and the reaction, and by not being there it just makes me feel like all I care about is winning.
This video can be watched by anyone. There's nothing really that one can spoil in Princess Mononoke but if you've already seen it you'll probably understand the relationship between the lines and what's happening on screen.
