This is track 130 of the Animix project. It's an awesome project that IMO surpasses the DDR projects. There are a over 60 creators and that is just awesome. If you havn't seen Animix yet, go see it.
I spent a lot of time on this track. for only 28sec, i spent 20-30+ hours. I started on this video with a minor idea. i did some to it and then my idea ended. i was in a stump. the scene selection was very hard as i couldn't think of what footage to use. Most of the footage i used was really close to each other, but to get the scenes just right, i needed to move some around and try different things. i think i did well. i then got inspiration to do some other things. here are some of the ideas i used.
-Throughout the whole video i wanted to flash different colors, to give it a dance feel to it. Leaving the video plain, was... well, not good. IMO.
-Where the lyrics go "Let the beat control your body, let the beat control your body" i did text. I thought i would do all the lyrics like that, but it was much better only doing those. Then with the dancing in the background. it was originaly the full scene without blackness, but i needed the text to be visable. it worked out.
-Then there is the waveform. some people saw my betas, and the betas had waveforms on the top and bottom, but they were cut off and under the flashing color layer. so i thought and came up with using the waveforms as the actual video edge. After spending several hours getting it to look good and getting it to work, i made it. I think it turn out awesome and it's nothing i've seen before.
If your anal... you'll notice that at the very, the last two frames show a flat waveform.. i was going to fix this, but it was so minor that it doesn't need to be. becuase this track will go into the big project, and by the time those frames go by, you wont see it and the next track should be playing. it's not an issue.
I am very proud of what i've made, and i hope it adds quality to the already awesome project.
