    LYRICS

We're so happy to see so many of you lovely people here tonight
We would especially like to welcome all the representatives of the Illinois Law Enforcement Community who have chosen to join us here in the Palace Hotel Ballroom at this time.
We do sincerely hope you all enjoy the show, and please remember people, that no matter who are and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there are still some things that make us all the same.
    You... Me... Them... everybody! Everybody!
    Everybody, needs somebody,
Everybody, needs somebody, to love (someone to love)
    Someone to love

Sweetheart to miss (sweetheart to miss)
Sugar to kiss (sugar to kiss)

    I need you, you you
    I need you, you, you

In the mornin', when my soul's on fire
Sometimes I feel, I feel a little sad inside
    When my baby mistreats me
Never never never gonna let it hide, I need you
    (Musical bridge)
Sometimes I feel, I feel a little sad inside
    When my baby mistreats me
Never never never gonna let it hide,

I need you you you you
    I need you you you
    I need you you you
    I need you you you
You know people, when you do find somebody,

Hold that woman, hold that man,
Love him, squeeze her, please her
Hold squeeze and please that person, give them all your love
Signify your feelings with every gentle caress

Because it's so important to have that special somebody

to hold, kiss, miss, squeeze, and please

    Everybody, needs somebody,
Everybody, needs somebody, to love (someone to love)
    Someone to love

Sweetheart to miss (sweetheart to miss)
Sugar to kiss (sugar to kiss)

    I need you, you you
    I need you, you, you
    I need you, you, you

In the mornin', when my soul's on fire
When thre ain't no one around

I need you you you you you
    I need you you you
    I need you!

    Project Notes:
Had to take my footage from fansubs, so if you notice a little bit of subtitles here and there, sorry. ~_~ I tried to get the "letterbox" bars as small as possible to avoid cutting out too much of the picture.
This video was edited using Adobe Premiere 6.5 and encoded with the DiVX 5.0.5 codec using Virtual Dub compression software. The letterbox bars were made with Adobe Photoshop.

    Transitions and other effects used:
I used a couple of cross fades here and there, and a couple of areas with two video layers utilizing the elastic band transparency. Nothing really too fancy, I'm still just learning after all. The letterbox bars were made in photoshop and imported as two seperate video layers. ^_^ So all in all, that's 4 video layers. Whee!

    Concerning Anime and Music:
Gravitation is an excellent little Shonen-ai / yaoi series, 13 episodes long with 2 OVAs. It's very cute, and never enters into the realm of hentai. It's really very tastefully done.
"Everybody Needs Somebody to Love" is from the Blue Brothers (1980) Soundtrack, and is sung by Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi.
I particularly liked how the music and anime seemed to fit each other, and tried to make the video as much like an MTV music video as I could, with shots of the "live performance" alternating with scenes of the story, backing up the lyrics. I focused the vid around Yuki and Shuichi, and their love. ^_^

    Thanks and shout outs:
A HUGE thank you is in order for both of my Dans. ^_^
Dan D, thanks for teaching me the basics of Premiere and getting me my own copy.
Dan O, thanks for always being on AIM when I needed you. ^_^ I never would have figured out half of premiere if I hadn't had you there to help me!
The wonderful folks at AMV.org, for running a fabulous website and for posting all those awesome guides.
Preston L, without whom I wouldn't have known what an AMV was.
Sal V, my continuous inspiration and my best friend. Without you, there would be no Tech Girl Productions.
Travis G, for getting me into anime all those years ago and setting loose this monster upon mankind. ^_~
All my club officers and members, who have put up with my anime obsession and have helped spread it across campus.
Ed L and Jenna B, for the Super Smash Brothers stress relief when Premiere kept crashing.
Ashyukun, for helping me with the letterbox bars and exporting. ^_^
