    Introduction
    ---------------
The inspiration for this video was actually quite simple. Bryce was sharing a few random Youtube videos with me and we came across 'Save the World' by Swedish House Mafia. I figured, with the way the song carries emotion we could make a pretty decent AMV with it. The rest is history.

You can watch the official music video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXpdmKELE1k

With the theme of the song and the type of story it tells, we had many different anime series that we could have chosen. In the end we settled with Guilty Crown. Though the story is a little lacking all around, the animation quality of the series was fantastic. We couldn't pass up not using it.

The story of Guilty Crown as a whole, closely mimics the feel of the song.

I did most of the pure editing this time around, while Bryce did a majority of the scene selection. Effects were done by me, with a combination of Flash and Fireworks.

Editing to electronica has by far been the biggest challenge. With the build up of each individual element in the song, it is sometimes hard to decide which beat to focus on. We had to chose carefully as we wanted to make sure the beat we were editing on, was the most pronounced beat that the audience would catch.

Total editing time took roughly 7-10 days of straight editing (minus source video preparation).

    Technical Information
    -------------------------
Working on this video was an utter pain in the ass.

At the time of creation (April 2012), not all the Blu-ray volumes of Guilty Crown had been released. Only Volumes 1-4 were available, and as such we only had access to episodes 1-8 in Blu-ray quality. All the other episodes had to be acquired in the format of raw 720p television transport streams. Lucky for us, the transport streams were of decent quality. However, every transport stream had the TV broadcast station logo. I had to use a DeLogo Filter to remove them.

Considering that eventually all the Guilty Crown Blu-ray volumes will be released, we probably will create a re-mastered version of "Save the World" once all the volumes are out.

Delogoed videos were converted to a lossless video codec (Largarith) and placed into Premiere for editing.

Aside from non-Blu-ray quality videos, we also did not have the clean Opening and Ending videos for Guilty Crown. I had to come up with some pretty creative ways to hide the credits in the OP/ED videos. Only nearing the completion of the AMV did we actually manage to find some clean OP/ED sources. Though of lesser quality (480p) they still were better than having credits in some of the scenes we wanted to use.

Video was made purely with Adobe Premiere / Flash / Fireworks. I had considered to use Sony Vegas for this project (Vegas allows for easy animated masking and character cut outs), but I ended up going with Premiere because of it's ability to import and capture Flash [swf] files seamlessly.

As such, I created the opening and ending bumper animations with Flash.
You can see a recorded stream I did while I was working in Flash.

Making of the Outro Title in Flash - [1 hour and 26 minutes]

This is the first AMV we've edited in 30fps and not 24fps.

Swedish House Mafia - Save the World (lyrics)
    ----------------------------------------------------
    Into the streets
    We're coming down
    We never sleep
    Never get tired
    So urban feels
    And suburban lights

    Turn the crowd up now
    We'll never back down
    Shoot at the skylight
    And watching it on primetime
    Turn up the love now
Listen up now, turn up the love

Who's gonna save the world tonight?
Who's gonna bring me back to life?
We're gonna make it, you and I
We're gonna save the world tonight

    OHOHOHOHOOHOH
    OHOHOHOHOOHOH
    OHOHOHOHOOHOH

We're far from home, it's for the better
What we dream, it's all that matters
    We're on our way, united

    Turn the crowd up now
    We'll never back down
    Shoot at the skylight
    And watching it on primetime
    Turn up the love now
Listen up now, turn up the love

Who's gonna save the world tonight?
Who's gonna bring me back to life?
We're gonna make it, you and I
We're gonna save the world tonight

Ten years later in 2039, Ouma Shuu -- a teen with a special ability awakened by the Apocalypse Virus -- meets Yuzuriha Inori, a strange girl who incites him to join the struggle against the government organisation's robotic forces and a secret society whose goal remains shrouded in mystery.
