Theres a love triangle between Kyon, Haruhi and Yuki. Haruhi is not only jealous, since she is Kyon's girlfriend as she thinks he is being controlled by Yuki but Kyon doesn't accept that so she leaves him. Since Kyon loves her too much he confronts Yuki and ends up killing her. Scared of him, Haruhi completely disappears from Kyon's life. The amv tells this story as if it was Kyon writing it in a book as you can see it in the end.
