• Comments: So I've been watching a lot of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (a.k.a. When They Cry) and enjoying the intricate plot twists and how all the stories go back and start over on a loop. There's also a 1992 Bill Murray film called "Groundhog Day" which has a similar reset on a single day of a guy's life. Then the spark of inspiration came: 'When They Cry" as a strictly comedic farse, brilliant!
  
  Even though this seemed a clever idea, I didn't realize how much painstaking work this would take. I mean most of my best AMV's are detailed but this was rediculous. I had to take all the comic relief from an otherwise dark and frightening show, then somehow make it all lighthearted fun. There were also some blatant cheats I had to do, like a car crashing and exploding. If that wasn't bad enough, where the heck was I going to find a groundhog??? The answer: Boota from Gurren Lagann!
