I had this song in reserve for quite a while, in the hopes that a hockey anime would eventually materialize so I could make an amv to it and capture the feeling the song evoked when I first heard it during the 2002 Winter Olympics. It's from a Canadian Coca-Cola commercial in which the tagline was "If we time it right, they'll be able to hear us in Salt Lake", attempting to raise some spirits for our team. It worked rather well and the high energy of the song has stuck in my mind since.

But eventually I had to face the fact that there is never going to be a hockey anime, otherwise I would never end up using the song for anything. Figure skating was the next best thing, and thanks to Moonlight Soldier, I found out about a figure skating anime (really Japan? figure skating but no hockey?) that even took the main character to the olympics. So that was as close I I figured I would get and it's certainly close enough so I gradually set to work and got it made eventually.

The digital effects checkbox is on for the few shots where I added the olympic logo to the scene. I only had to remove lip flap in one shot thankfully. Thanks to Moonlight Soldier, Kitsuner, and Otohiko for Beta testing, and Moonlight Soldier for ALL the footage. I'm thanking them here because I didn't bother with credits for this one. For some reason I don't bother with credits if the video is about a minute or less. All you need to know is here anyways.

So enjoy or don't. Hopefully other canadians will recognize the tune. If a hockey anime ever does rear its head, I may just give this one another shot :P
