- BT Simply Being Loved (Somnambulist)
This video was originally made for a tournament being held on Youtube.
It started as a 35 sec. tournament entry, but I enjoyed the idea so much that I decided to make it into a full AMV. I chose Strawberry Marshmallow as my footage because my initial idea was to use this anime to portray the song in a more comical sense. Although I chose not to make it completely comical. I also wanted to show the kind of love that friends and family have, rather then making it romantic.
There is a more in depth storyline behind this video though. It's point is to focus on each of the characters and their problems separately. First comes Matsuri and her inability to speak her mind. Then there is Miu with her hyperactive nature and infatuation with Nobue. Next up is Ana and her language dilemma. Then Chika and her problems with her weight. Finally, Nobue comes in with her role as being the adult figure for the four girls she spends time with. In addition, at the end of the video there is a short clip of Nobue in a more peaceful state of mind :]

I don't have much of a reason for choosing this anime, aside from what I mentioned above, and the fact that scenes from the anime kept popping up into my head as a listened to the song. Although that probably happened because a few days prior to making this, I re-watched the series.
Song - [ BT - "Simply Being Loved" ]
As part of the tournament entry rules, we were to choose a song from any AMV as long as it was popular. I decided to go with the song used in ZetZu's "More than Enough" video. I really liked the song and I thought that I could make a good enough entry that showed my editing skills properly.
Editing Process -
This AMV is so far the one I've spent the most time on. I worked on it for around 20 hours in total. A lot of time was spent testing out effects and trying to get the timing just right xD Not too mention the masking took some time, and I'm still unsatisfied with that part of the video. For the effects, I mainly used digital-like effects (TV simulator and static) for the beat syncing. My transitions mainly consisted of linear blurs. There are some other effects I used, but those are the main ones :P In the end, I'm extremely happy with how my editing turned out in this AMV :]
