  Needless to say I started this video before Napster unofficially (and hey, now officially) crashed and burned, so sometime around mid-March or April 2001. At the time I was (and still am) hooked on Furi Kuri (FLCL) a new anime from Gainax. One day (yeah, this is how these things always start) I was listening to a full version mp3 of "Metallicops - Napster Napster". For those of you who are not familiar with this, I suggest you visit www.shockwave.com and look under Shows for Metallicops. Putting it simply, they've made about four vids which poke fun at Metallica's efforts to shutdown Napster (kind of odd thinking back on it now of course). For some reason parts of the song began to click into place with images of FLCL, which is the universal hint-hint to make a music video. So I began working on it and I liked what I saw enough to continue and voila, about two months later I had a finished video to send into Otakon2001.
  
  Anyways, couple things about the actual video. The first is that most of it was made using divx avi's I obtained online (don't worry, I chose clips without subtitles in them so you don't have to worry about that). I originally intended to make a dummy video using these and then remaster with the dvds, but I was happy enough with the video as-is and I didn't feel it was worth the time to redo every scene. In addition I don't have the first dvd yet, since it isn't subtitled like the rest. Second, see if you can catch any hidden napster symbols in the video.
