  • Comments: This video was something of a breakthrough for me. I've been in a bit of a slump these past few months, barely even touching any editing, and I was starting to worry that I was loosing my love for it. But then my friend and I finally finished the .hack//G.U. games, and that was it. I HAD to make a video to it, you see. It's worthy of so much more attention then it's gotten; consider this my contribution to the awareness effort, as it were.

    The process for this video was incredibly short; I was flipping through my music library, looking for something that would fit G.U., and after I'd listened through about thirty seconds of this song, I knew I wouldn't need to look any further. Luckily I'd already gotten all the footage ready and organized, so when I put the song down around 8 pm, I didn't have to hunt everything down. That being said, I worked straight through the night (and into the morning) and had completed a satisfactory edit (with only a few rough spots) by 9 am. There was never a point where I found myself wondering what to do next, and even though it's been years since I've been able to finish a video in under twenty hours and be happy with it, I Am Happy With This. (Granted, the speed might be attributed to the complete lack of special effects and fancy technical doo-hickeys except for a lone zoom, and if anyone can pick it out I will give them a free opinion on a video of their choosing, not that I wouldn't op something if asked anyway, but I think I did a pretty good job making the zoom look natural and geez this is a long parenthesis...)

    And thank you to frogmelon for catching the tiny glitchy problems in beta (you have sharp eyes, my friend).
