  • Comments: It took me a while to get this video in the catalog, because I never knew what I was going to write for it. Well, getting to the point...

I played Final Fantasy IX over the summer of last year and decided that I just had to make a music video for it. I was just searching for songs over the internet, when I came upon this song, Heaven And Hell by Black Sabbath. I know in my video that I spelled it Shabbath, and I'm sorry. I don't really feel like going back to change it.

Personally I love the beginning of my video the best. It reminds me of the 80's, because the song is just like it and the video seems to be moving fast then slow, according to the music. I haven't seen it in a while, but I know that the scene of the ship flying towards Lindblum sticks out in my mind. It's like the scene moves through the FMV. I pretty much had good timing in this video, at least that's what people tell me.

I start to dislike this video after the 2nd chorus or so, because then it just lacks the intensity and power that it had previously. Of course, in this video I glorify the evil of the game, Kuja, Brahne, and Bahamut's destructive acts. This video was actually the first video where I used the Huffyuv codec. I think it turned out pretty well, because all of the quality was kept in place.

    Programs Used:
    1. psxMC - for ripping the FMVs off the game discs and making them into Huffyuv files
    2. Premiere 6.0 - for editing, adding special effects (barely noticeable so I didn't check it), and putting the video together
    3. TMPGEnc - For encoding it into an MPEG

I spent around 100 - 150 hours total on ripping the FMVs, planning (very little actually done) and editing the video, and processing the final file. It mostly takes that much time, because I export the video each time that I want to preview it. My computer isn't so fast, so it takes a while.

I hope you have fun watching it, and if you really do think that it's good, please leave an opinion, as I will most likely return the favor!
