"The British Health and Safety Executive recommend that a net flash rate for a bank of strobe lights does not exceed 5 flashes per second, at which only 5% of photosensitive epileptics are at risk. It also recommends that no strobing effect continue for more than 30 seconds due to the potential for discomfort and disorientation."

I found this quoted in a thread about strobing in AMVs in the General AMV forum.

I thought it'd be fun to push the strobing to its limit. By 'limit' I don't necessarily mean strobing on every frame (which does actually happen quite often in the video) but rather doing it in a manner that was fucking rapid, but still seemed in synch/time with the music.

I love the music of The Distillers, particularly because of Brody Dalle's vocals, and I knew for this vid I'd need a short (since I was using Dead Leaves) and rapid punk-rock-styled song, so the first palce I looked was in my Distillers folder, where I found Bullet & The Bullseye. I think the lyrics are kinda appropriate to Dead Leaves too.

Unlike my other Dead Leaves vid, which still attempted to keep something that resembles a storyline, this is just all out action with a fucktonne of flashing clips and strobes.

Atom is OK: You're doing a seizure video.
    Atom is OK: I mean......
Atom is OK: You're making a cliche.

    Indeed I am.

The title "Denno Senshi Porygon" is in reference to the Pokemon episode of the same title that resulted in numerous cases of seizures on behalf of the viewers when it was first aired.

WARNING - Not intended for sufferers of epilepsy.
