- Default Wasting My Time
I like to say I spent nine months making this video to make it look like I poured my heart and soul into it, but that would be a lie. Yes, I started this video roughly nine months ago, but I hardly worked on it the entire time. In fact, I was working on it the vast, vast minority of the time. The thing is, I really don't like editing and hardly ever do it anymore. If I really buckled down, I probably could have had this video finished in a month or two, but fat chance of that. I hate editing, and like hell I'm actually going to devote large blocks of time to it.
Anways, to talk about the video itself. I've had the concept for this video for a long time now. Even though I started it in October 2005, I know I wanted to start it earlier, but couldn't due to HD space restrictions. I managed to hack my way around it, although my crude bypass made the editing process itself a lot slower. After watching Kimi ga Nozumuo Eien, I thought it was a wonderful series with exactly the right ending. For some reason, I had a copy of Default's one radio-worthy song lying around, and after listening to it, I figured that either the song was written for the series, or the other way around. It really couldn't be any other way; the two fit each other almost perfectly.
Nine months later, this is the product. Not much to say about it; it's fairly typical of my work. Thanks to everyone who beta-tested this video, and no thanks to Adobe Premiere for being a useless cunt and making me spend five hours just trying to export.
I have an XviD version lying around; PM me if you want that instead. Alternatively, you can find the video on YouTube here.
