  Alexandre Dumas is possibly my favorite author. So, when I heard that the GONZO studio (that did Samurai7) did Count of Monte Cristo (Gankutsuou), I had to see it. And I absolutely loved it. By far and large the prettiest anime I have ever watched. Graphically, this show is over the top with the layering style they used and movie quality CG.
  
  Only thing to do after watching that show was to make a stellar AMV. Which leads me to wonder what I could do. As I browsed through my iTunes library, I came across my Alphaville selection (I have every song they have ever done). Pandora's Lullaby eventually stuck because I once put the song on repeat while reading "Crown of Shadows" by C S Friedman. So, bear with me, the emotions that come from the song - to me - are identical to those from "Crown of Shadows" and those emotions are similar to those I felt while watching Gankutsuou. So, once again the lyrics have little to do with the AMV itself. Just watch and enjoy this love story about a man torn between two loves.
  
  The poem at the end of the video was written by myself. Simple, I believe it added a sort of "Epilogue" to the AMV. The title of the poem is "Telling." This video was made using the latest version of iMovie on my stellar G5. It is in a .mov format ala AAC and H.264 and may or may not be best played in Quicktime (I played it in Quicktime).
  
  ((SPOILER: This is the rought plot of the video outlined below))
  This AMV has a plot that goes along with it. The plot follows Albert and his torn heart between two women - Haidee and Eugenie. After a time of indecision, he chooses Haidee. However, she is to wed the Count. In a fit of rage, Albert challenges the Count to a duel. During the duel, the Count proves the better and is about to shot Albert. At the last moment, Haidee jumps in front of the bullet and is killed instead of Albert as the Count walks away. Sad and alone, as Albert sits at Haidee's grave, he remembers Eugenie. However, Eugenie is about to get married. A match made by her greedy father, she doesn't wish to marry Andrea. Nevertheless, Albert has managed to disguise himself and - with the help of his friends Lucien and Peppo - manages to rescue Eugenie. Hoping to start his life anew, Albert is shocked to find by chance the Count in the streets of Paris. Wanting revenge, another duel is set and the two fight before dawn in the park. A savage fight, once again the Count disarms Albert's mecha and advances for the final kill. At that moment, the Count is surprised to find that Albert was waiting for the moment and perishes. Now Albert and Eugenie are free to live their lives together as they elope to southern France.
