  • Profile: I am me and “me” is a 22 year old California girl with a Bachelor's degree in English. I start grad school to get an MFA in Creative Writing in the Fall of 2008. In the meantime I'm just working and being a bum. =)

    I am of the female and air headed persuasion. My life’s ultimate goal, wish, and aspiration thingy is to marry a very, very, very and really rich man to support my lazy ass while I sit around perusing my loves. These “loves” of which I speak include (but are not limited to) reading, writing, drawing, and (of course) AMV-ing.

    Most of my AMVs are centered around YAOI or yuri themes. Lots of people don’t like gay stuff, I get it. Let’s all be mature adults and not flame others over differences in morals and taste, mkay? I always leave ample warning on my vids, it’s the viewer’s choice whether or not they read the description, I am not responsible for any mental trauma that watching two cartoon men kiss to pop rock may cause you. So don’t take out your rage by leaving all 1’s opinions that simply say “YAIO suxxxz!11!”

    Moving on, ^^;;, all of my AMVs are currently made with Magic DVD Ripper, Roxio Video Editor, RealOne Player (for the audio) Windows Movie Maker 2, and Adobe Photoshop. I have the ability to format my AMVs into .mpegs and .avis, but honestly, .wmv gives me the cleanest results and decent file sizes. I know some people see .wmv as a red flag for a bad AMV, but trust me that my DVD quality stays good. Also, if you have trouble with Windows Media Player, you don’t have to use it. Most .wmv files work in DivX and the program Sonic Cine Player will not only play .wmv files but also .mov, .mpeg, .avi, .wav, .mp3 and DVDs so that may be a good investment for your media needs.=)

    Anyways the three golden rules that I adhere to in my own AMVs (even in all the crappy old ones) and that I look for in the AMVs of others are:
    1. No unintentional subtitles
    2. No lingering footage
    3. No random footage

    And “No lip flapping” gets an honorable mention, as it bothers me a lot too.
