I heard there was a patch out that can fix this problem. I've spent two days looking for it. =_= So, as you can guess, I've run into the same problem.

Sorry for the double post, but there doesn't seem to be an edit option ^^; Anyways, I've tried both ways, and it still doesn't work. Vegas doesn't even register the .avi files...as in when i choose to import it, it just appears there, but the media is dubbed offline and i can't do anything with it.

Haha i also had this problem when i got Vegas 6.0 what you have to do is
1.Download VirtualDubMod
2.Open Video file in Virutaldubmod
3.Go to File and click Save as make sure at the bottom of the pop up that juz came up says Uncompressed RGB and put it fast recompress or Full processing
4.Save it to a destination u wnat
5.Import in ur vegas... and thats it. By the way the video u saved with VitualDubMod will be pretty big

Follow my Steps Above to import AVI files. And avi files cant be imported because it was a video codec of XVID you need to change the codec

... but if you're going to do this, then you'll definitely want to cut only the clips you need, rather than trying to convert entire episodes. Entire episodes in uncompressed RGB would be OBSCENELY big files.
