Congrats to everyone who got in. Because we received so many submissions, the overflow screenings have been split into two separate screenings, one Saturday night, and one Sunday afternoon. We are going to be making up the overflow playlist as we go (don't worry, we'll show everything) so if you have something that is in the overflow and you are present at a screening, come to the VAT table and let us know so that we can show your video(s) while you are there =)

This list is NOT indicitive as to the finalists for Ohayocon 2006. Even if you submitted to both cons, your entry will be screened again after the Ohayocon deadline has past. So, if you didn't make it this time, you have a second chance!

Oh. Dear. I don't know what worries me more... Brian having done what I think that combo is as a serious video or taking the comedic approach.

And in retrospect I'm glad I didn't send in Bouncing Through the Years as well- I don't need to not only lose to The Race again but to Spirit of the Stage as well.

It looks like a really good lineup though- I'd say the audience there will be in for yet another awesome AMV contest.

True- but given it went to both AWA and Manifest, I don't want to be sending it around too much, even if the con rules don't prohibit it in any way. And I'm actually going to SugoiCon this coming weekend, and would rather use up one final submission at a con that I can actually see the audience reaction at.

There are quite a few "older" videos in there that have seen plenty of con-attention in the last year and although I agree, if they don't violate the rules well...there ya go.

Aah well, maybe next year. But I love that not everybody gets into these things. Makes you proud to even be a finalist, like I was in my first con ;p haha! Well congrats to the finalists and good luck!

It is rather disconcerting to see videos that you've seen or competed against at con after con. But that just makes you that much more proud when you DO make it in! I Know I'da' been in there anyway if it wasn't for Pwolf's year old POS...
