yes
don't forget to use a lossless codec either (google lagarith or huffyuv if you don't)

I assume that you already know how to make an avisynth script (and have AviSynth 2.5.5 or higher)

make a small script that opens your mp4 using directshowsource()
open in vdub(/mod)
pick your compressor, and save

if you have any questions, remember to Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides first

For a lossless codec, it is normal. I'm surprised it's not upwards of 6-7Gigs.

I hope you're not going to try to edit with those xvid files
the reason why I said to encode it with a lossless codec is so that
a: you don't loose any quality (hence lossless)
b: the footage will work in your editing program

you may be lucky enough to get xvid files to work in your program of choice, but trust me...you will save yourself a lot of trouble by not even thinking of attempting to edit footage encoded with divx or xvid

okay... hm.... well, my source is dvd and mp4s (quality not perfect, but i guess its not bad =\ ) , and my drivers are in this condition = 20g left in C drive and 14 g left in my drive, i hope its enough ^^'' =/...

oh, and i havn't ripped the dvds yet

yeah, so should i use the avisynth to edit the mp4 directly :?
