Transformers Movie?

Postby EvaFan » Mon Apr 02, 2007 1:24 am

I found this online just recently, I didn't even know about it up till finding it.

Trailer, Teaser

It looks like this movie is gonna be a digital disasterpiece. I cant freaking wait.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

It's Godzilla all over again. :(

Well, that's probably a bad comparison. I just hope the creators don't get too full of themselves and make the Transformers movie into something 'edgy' and 'serious'. It's looking like Terminator with robots that transform instead of Transformers. I see too many human scenes and not nearly enough of either the Autobots or Decepticons. It's still a trailer so they probably are keeping most of the robot scenes under wraps. But based on people's reactions to the leaked script(s), humans get a bunch of screen time and certain Transformers get practically zilch in spoken lines.

I'll wait for the reviews before going to the theaters to see this...

I can't remember; was there ever a Transformer named Trainwreck?

meh the trailer made the production values of it look good to me, I can't really say it WILL be good. They may have just used the best parts in the trailer for all i know.

Still though it looks promicing to me :/. I look forward to it.

This is just being brought up now? Holy shit. I figured everyone knew about this movie.

I grew up with the old transformers cartoons so I'm gonna go see this if for anything nostalgia puropses. And I haven't been to a movie since my "friends" forced me to see "The Break Up" >.<

I'm definitely going to go see it. All I expect from it are transforming robots and explosions, which is also what I expected from The Rock.

So I'll more than likely enjoy it, regardless of how bad it might actually be.

Where I think it has the chance to be stupid is that it seems again to actually be a movie about people with some transformers crushing shit in the background. And people are like "omgomgwtf".

Transformers are awesome, of course (I'll admit having had a huge collection of toys back in the day and all), but I'm not overly optimistic about putting them into a rather played-out distaster-movie dynamic.

Yeah that was my thought, afterall its not going to be a kid movie... The robots are ACTUALLY KILLING people instead of fighting each other without damage. The cartoon was kinda silly and dumb to me. This movie makes it alot more intense.

I just saw a comercial yesterday... A teaser... Some of the transformations are crazy. The robots are even crazier. I like how they used real looking cars/planes too. Overall It looks like a good action movie so I'ma give it a try.

Everyone did the same thing for resident evil and silent hill. "It's being made from a game, so it's gonna suck."

"It's being made from an anime, so it's gonna suck"...

Yeah right, I actually liked both of those movies, BTW resident evil 3 is in the works... How about that? =D
