If you're still seeing the replacement words, it is because people are typing out the replacement rather than the word that gets replaced.
Nope, @ the time I posted the forum sections were still titled the wrong way even after cookie clearing in Firefox.

Just a reminder, entries need to be unique. While I don't mind resubmissions of previous year entries that didn't make the vote (as long as you made the logo yourself), previous winning logos are for the purpose of this contest considered "retired". If I have to doubletake on a logo because I thought for a second that it was a previous winner resubmitted with color variations, then it is too similar.

there isn't any set size for the jpg/gif versions is there?
I can't remember the logo contest last year (other than that emoticon)

not really a problem (for me) since it's a .svg ...but it would be nice to know beforehand if there's a certain size I should submit for voting

The org automatically resizes the jpg/gif portion of the entry to 500 pixels on the longest side. Anything over that would be overkill. Anything under would have reduced quality on the logo details page.

That portion is pretty much just for the contest. Once the contest is over I can make different file types/resolutions for use in banners from the zipped source files.

For this occasion, I've revived my Haruhi/AMV Logo avatar (resized to the org's new size restrictions until I can optimize it better). 8-)
