WMM no longer lets me save video file

Postby GellZ0ngle » Sun Apr 01, 2007 12:56 pm

In the course of my project, I usually save a low quality movie file to check on its progress and make sure everything is working.

This used to not be a problem.

Now WMM won't let me save any more video files at all, seemingly out of the blue!

It says either I don't have enough hard drive space (though I have over 16 gigs left!), or my video files have suddenly become unavailable( though they all play just fine in preview mode).

Something very screwy is going on. I don't understand why after letting me make movie files for so long, it is now saying that it is unable to.

Also, after a failed movie file save suddenly none of my clips show up and remain black in the preview area.

Help, please?

Has this happened to anyone else before?

Did you read that nice FAQ sticky at the top of the forum? Or use the .org's search function? Or scroll down and see that someone just asked this question?

Yes, to all three of those questions. I followed the FAQ, all my clips are encoded using HuffyYuv and things worked beautifully and without fault up until a moment ago when I tried to save another movie file (which had worked great the previous 12 times). The question below mine seems to be of a different nature entirely.

Do you mean save the project, or export the video?

Exporting the video is the problem.

Afraid not. That was the guide that I followed originally to export videos, though, and it has worked in the past for this current project. But now it doesn't.

bahs... i missed that :P

could try using that OTHER codec O.o

lagarith, and converting your files over?

though most people tell me that lagarith doesnt work in wmm, but i usually find that if one doesnt work the other usually will

Okay. Thanks for all the help, but it seems to have somehow fixed itself. I suppose this is just the general bugginess of WMM at work here. One of these days . . .
