[DB]_Naruto_130_[1389EA8F].avi could not be imported. The required codec was not downloaded automatically because the Download codecs automatically check box is not selected in the Options dialog box.

now i read the FAQ, it doesnt fit with this.

please correct me if im wrong, but i know its not anything to do with not having AVISYNTH because my laptop didnt have it and i could import files fine on that.

thanks

i dont think its either.

it doesnt show up when i check it, it just says its a video clip, unless im checking the codec wrong?

besides, when i put DIVX/XVID files on my laptop fotr WMM it worked and im using nothing different on this computer.

Then there is possibility that thy avi file holds unsupported codec itself. Sometimes downloaded footage is corrupted,so instead of using like DivX,XviD,Huffyuv or any other codec,it don't use any codec at all. But it's not uncompressed. It's more something like "" , or something like that. Thou may check it by viewing it with FourCC changer, which is included in XviD codec pack.

even if you have the codec on your computer if the file is encoded with XVID or DIVX (or any other similar codec) you will more than likely have issues importing it into your video program O.o
