Problems loading footage into Adobe Premiere Elements

Postby topgamer101 » Thu Mar 15, 2007 1:03 am

I think I might have an idea to the cause, but let me explain first.

I rip the footage with DVD Dycrypter and then load it into Virtual Dub, I then procced to save it as an AVI file in one of the reccomended compression formats.

After which, the file won't load into my program. It doesn't freeze or anything, it's just the little bar that fills with green bars won't fill.

I tried an experiment. I have an old Ripping program called Eazy VCD. I ripped it with that with some box problems. Kinda hard to remedy, but it gets footage into my program.

I loaded it into Virtual Dub, touched it up to make it look a little bit better, then saved it in the same way I did before. This one actually loaded into my program.

So here is my question. Am I missing an essential program or something after I save the file? I must be missing something in the process since using DVD Dycrypter and Virtual Dub won't get the footage into the program.

Thanks for any responses.

You're missing a step between ripping and transcoding in VDub. Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides to find out more... (spicifically here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... getb2.html)
